Boston, MA, 06/15/2007 — From media relations and product launches to business-to-business and corporate social responsibility campaigns, Text 100 was honored this week for its public relations work at The Publicity Club of New England's Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony. Text 100, a top ten global PR agency, received four awards at the local annual ceremony for campaigns the agency has carried out on behalf of Xerox, Getronics, The MathWorks and Data Domain.
The annual Bell Ringer Awards recognize and honor excellence and achievement in the communications and public relations professions. Text 100 took home the Bell Ringers, the highest accolades in two categories, one in the "Community Service Campaign" category for driving Xerox's Let's Say Thanks program, which provides the public a free and easy way to thank deployed U.S. troops for their service by sending postcards designed by children overseas. The other top award was in the "Response to breaking news" category for a media relations campaign to drive client coverage and thought leadership for Getronics surrounding the launch of Microsoft Windows Vista.
Text 100 also received Merit Bell Awards in the "Product/Service Launch for High-Tech Business-to-Business Campaign" category for its work with The MathWorks and the "Product/Service Publicity for High-Tech Business-to-Business Campaign" category for its work with Data Domain.
"It is an honor to be recognized by our peers for result-driven and creative client work," said Matt Lloyd, vice president of Text 100's Boston office. "These awards are a salute to the talent within Text 100 and showcase the breadth and depth of our public relations expertise well beyond pure technology media relations."
The Publicity Club of New England is the region's oldest professional organization for public relations, communications, special events, and marketing professionals. At last year's awards, Text 100 won a Bell Ringer award in the "Special Events: Series Campaign" category for its work with Sprint to reposition the company as a viable entertainment player. The company also received merits in the "Photo or Graphic with Caption Placement" and "Response to Breaking News" categories for Mio and ClearCube, respectively.
