London, UK, 03/08/2007 — Text 100, the world's largest independent technology public relations firm, has announced plans to extend its UK and EMEA capabilities with the integration of August One, a sister agency within the Next Fifteen Group. The integration continues Text 100's global strategy of meeting client demand by expanding its product and service offering in corporate communications, consumer and digital lifestyle.
August One will form the core of a new corporate and consumer practice within Text 100, along with six other Text 100 staff located across EMEA, which is in addition to 40 plus people already deployed in this area in North America and APAC. The new business unit will initially have staff based in the UK, Spain, Germany and Nordic region. Its services will be offered to clients region-wide.
Andrew McGregor, Text 100's Regional Director for EMEA said: "For some time, Text 100 and August One have witnessed a growing number of clients and prospects requiring the combined skill sets of both agencies. We saw a natural opportunity to combine forces and establish a joint offering that further strengthens our global proposition. This move brings in some terrific talent, expertise and clients that will strengthen the core Text 100 proposition."
McGregor added: "Leveraging August One's heritage in understanding brands and non-technology sector audiences will only add to our capability."
Sarah Howe, current August One MD, will manage the newly formed corporate communications and consumer unit within Text 100 UK and will take on a global role to expand these service offerings. All of August One's current clients, including leading brands such as TOTAL, PriceRunner.co.uk, More Th>n Business and Whirlpool, will be supported by this unit.
In addition, Sarah MacKenzie, August One Director, will become Regional Creative Director for Text 100 in EMEA consulting across a broad portfolio of clients and new business prospects.
Sarah Howe, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for both businesses and our people. Critically, it enables us to deliver on the increasing client demand for integrated PR services across multiple audiences. Clients want specific expertise from their consultancy but they also want advisors who really understand brands and the type of dialogue that will engage consumers both offline and within the social media landscape. There is huge opportunity as part of Text 100 to grow our services internationally and be able to work with some of the most exciting brands, both large and small."
